THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FED-BIR AND KON-KURD

FED-BIR is affiliated to a higher organisation known by the acronym 'KON-KURD' (Federation of Kurdish Associations In Europe) which is based in Brussels, Belgium.

KON-KURD is a European wide organisation that aims at achieving, defending and developing the social, economic, political and cultural rights of the Kurdish people. KON-KURD is an organisation that adopts the principles of the international law and the international human rights law as the setting for its activities and its conduct is within the legal mechanism and democratic framework.   

FED-BIR has the right to be represented on the Management Committee of the KON-KURD by a representative, as such it has the right to elect or be elected within the KON-KURD. FED-BIR is required to pay a membership fee on regular intervals. FED-BIR and KON-KURD determine the amount of the membership fee. FED-BIR is required to follow the guidelines and decisions adopted by KON-KURD. FED-BIR works towards achieving the aims of KON-KURD. FED-BIR reports to KON-KURD its social and financial activities. At the same time FED-BIR has the right to know the activities of KON-KURD. http://www.kon-kurd.org
