THE MISSION OF FED-BIR: FED-BIR is established to protect and develop further the social, economic, political and cultural rights of the Kurdish people. Our federation adopts the principles of international law and strongly supports the laws aimed at preventing discriminations based on race, gender, religion, language and culture. Guided by the above principals the mission of FED-BIR is to alleviate problems of the Kurdish society resulting from migration as well as to promote and inform the British public and institutions about the struggle of the Kurdish people for their existence, language, culture and national identity. Although the Kurds number over 40 million people, the United Nations and other international organisations do not recognise the Kurdish people. FED-BIR will intensify its efforts in representing the Kurdish people in democratic platforms in the UK. FED-BIR sees it its duty to guide and co-ordinate the Kurdish Community Associations that aim to unite and develop the Kurdish people.
